Rose City, other northern Michigan towns, to receive firefighter assistance grants

Rose City will receive some of $64,000 in federal grants to northern Michigan fire departments.

, D-Menominee, announced the grants, from U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The money will be spent on equipment and training to help fire departments "protect and serve their communities more effectively," Stupak said.
