Students from both colleges met at Morton Park Wednesday to "stand together for peace and justice."

WELLESLEY, MA – Students from Wellesley and Babson colleges marched together Wednesday at Morton Park in a show of solidarity against hate.

Both groups originated on their respective campuses and walked into town carrying homemade signs. At the park, they combined their efforts to "stand together for peace and justice on and off their respective campuses."

The event featured speakers from both colleges, who rallied the crowd to stand up to hate rhetoric and hate crimes.

The meeting comes a week after two Babson students drove through the Wellesley campus in a pickup truck waving a Donald Trump flag. They were asked to leave the campus without incident, though the event sparked outrage among some students at both colleges.

Babson President Kerry Healey said her school received 40 Bias Incident Reports and numerous phone calls, emails, and social media comments the day after the incident.
