Four more die from COVID-19, 103 new cases

MACOMB — The McDonough County Health Department has reported that four more people have died from coronavirus. The dead include two men, one in his 60s and one in his 70s, and two women, one in her 70s and one older than 90. This brings the countywide death total to 38.

Public Information Officer Raeva Farris also reported another 103 confirmed positive cases in all age groups since last week, 54 women and 49 men. She listed their ages as one under 10-years old, 18 in their teens, 19 in their 20s, nine in their 30s, 10 in their 40s, nine in their 50s, 14 in their 60s, 15 in their 70s, seven in their 80s, and one person older than 90.

The county has recorded 1,478 confirmed cases, with 385 still active and 1,055 people recovered. The total number of cases includes 795 women and 683 men. The largest age group impacted is 521 people in their 20s.

Of the 1,478 total, 415 cases came from Western Illinois University, 701 from the remainder of Macomb, and 173 cases came from Bushnell.

Farris also reported 35 new COVID-19 cases in Schuyler County, 24 men and 11 women. Their ages include one person under 10-years old, one in the 20s, six in their 30s, five in their 40s, 12 in their 50s, nine in their 60s, and one in the 70s.

Schuyler County has recorded 228 confirmed positive cases, with 93 still active, 134 people recovered, and one death. Total cases include 120 men and 108 women. The largest age group impacted is 48 people in their 50s.
