A Fort Myers man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to a 2017 robbery of a Cash Advance store.

Jeffery Davis, 46, stole around $1,500 from the Fort Myers store, according to the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.

Two of the employees identified him from a photo lineup.

Jeffery Davis, 46, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and robbery with a weapon.

Before the trial, after hearing witness testimony, he decided to plead guilty to the charges.

Davis is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and robbery with a weapon. He was also designated as a habitual felony offender and prison release re-offender.

He will serve his sentence concurrently with a federal case he resolved last year, a news release stated.
