Tiffany & Co has unveiled the ultimate stocking filler — a diamond necklace valued at up to $30 million.

The World’s Fair Necklace, which took two years to create and features 578 diamonds, is the most expensive item offered for sale by the New York luxury jeweller in its 184-year history.

It was created after the company’s archivists unearthed last year an original sketch of a piece that Tiffany’s made for the World’s Fair in 1939, which featured a mere 429 diamonds and sold at a modest $28,000 at the time.
