Uber Eats is launching in Lafayette this week.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Evansville residents can now order their favorite food dish through a smart phone and have it delivered directly to their door within minutes.

All it takes is a few simple clicks in the Uber Eats app.

Uber Eats officially launched in Evansville on Thursday, offering food delivery seven days a week with menus from local restaurants.

“The Uber Eats app allows users to order food delivery whenever they get a craving, with menus available from Evansville’s local favorites,” said Charity Jackson, Uber Eats Spokesperson. “We’re thrilled to launch (Thursday) in Evansville to connect local residents and visitors with new, tasty options, add new earning opportunities for driver-partners and help local restaurant owners expand the reach of their business.”

The app partnered with more than 30 local restaurants including McDonald's, Granola Jar, Deerhead Tavern, Taj Mahal, Waltons International Comfort Food, Shyler's BBQ and Hacienda Mexican Restaurant.

The app is free to download from Google Play (android) and the App store (iPhone).

"Beginning today, Evansville residents can open the Uber Eats app on their smartphone or head to UberEats.com, order food from a great restaurant, and have it delivered, fast," Jackson said in a news release. "That means whatever the craving – late-night snack, post-workout boost, or nutritious dinner with the fam – it’s only ever a tap away."
