Lawndale’s boys and girls basketball teams each picked up key Ocean League wins Wednesday night in a sweep of rival Hawthorne’s boys and girls teams.

Rejaine Crandall had 17 points, six assists and five steals to lead the Lawndale girls in a 44-23 win. Taylor Hall had eight points and 16 rebounds for Lawndale (13-6, 3-2), which plays at Culver City on Friday in a showdown with league title implications. Lawndale is currently one game behind both Culver City and El Segundo in the league standings.

On the boys side, Bryant Perkinson had 17 points to lead Lawndale to a 72-53 rout of Hawthorne’s boys. Eric Willis added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Lawndale (11-9, 3-2) is currently one game behind second-place Beverly Hills and two behind league leader Santa Monica.

Boys basketball

SERRA 83, CATHEDRAL 78 >> Micah Dykes had 22 points and Kobe Smith added 17 for Serra (10-10, 3-1) in a Del Rey League win.

BISHOP MONTGOMERY 51, CANTWELL 39 >> Bishop Montgomery defeated host Cantwell to move to 20-0 overall and 4-0 in Del Rey League play.

NARBONNE 79, WASHINGTON 63 >> Psalm Maduakor had 23 points and D’Mauria Jones added 19 for Narbonne (15-5, 6-0) in a Marine League win. Anthony Langston added 14 points for the Gauchos.

ROLLING HILLS PREP 69, L.A. ADVENTIST 54 >> Daniel Gutierrez had 25 points and Austin Moe added 16 for RHP (12-2) in a nonleague win.

Girls basketball

CARSON 60, SAN PEDRO 37 >> Serena Rendon had 15 points and Rachael Avila added 13 for Carson (17-7, 6-0) in a Marine League win. Deanna Valverde led San Pedro (14-8, 4-2) with 21 points.

BANNING 42, GARDENA 30 >> Cassandra Raya had 13 points and Crystal Miramontes added 11 for Banning (7-10, 1-5) in a Marine League win.

LEUZINGER 70, COMPTON CENTENNIAL 27 >> Brooke Scott had 20 points and 10 steals to lead Leuzinger (14-10, 3-2) in a Pioneer League rout. Heavan Ward had nine points and Kaylin Brown added eight for Leuzinger.

Boys soccer

EL SEGUNDO 1, SANTA MONICA 0 >> Grant Bemis scored the lone goal for El Segundo (8-5-1, 5-0) on an assist from Nabi Sidiqi in an Ocean League win. Tyler Hollick had three saves.

Girls soccer

SAN PEDRO 11, GARDENA 0 >> Ryann Lozano had a hat trick to lead San Pedro (13-2-2, 5-0) in a Marine League win. Samantha Martinez and Heather Carlton each added two goals for the Pirates.

NARBONNE 4, BANNING 1 >> Jessica Villasenor scored twice and Jenifer Mendez and Lizett Huerta each added one goal for Narbonne (7-5-1, 4-1) in a Marine League win.

LEUZINGER 5, CENTENNIAL 0 >> Jackie Ocon, Jessica Remijio, Kourtnei O’Hara, Mariana Perez and Emily Saravia each had a goal to lead Leuzinger in a Pioneer League rout.

PORT OF L.A. 3, BRIGHT STAR 0 >> Briana Mancilla scored twice and Maddi Pepper added one goal for POLA (14-2-3, 5-0-1) in a Crosstown League win.

JC softball

EL CAMINO 7, L.A. VALLEY 4 >> Taylor Richter was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs to lead visiting El Camino (1-0) in a nonconference win. Raelani Camez went 2 for 4 with an RBI.

L.A. HARBOR 10, SANTA MONICA 9 >> Michelle Corona hit the game-winning RBI single in the seventh inning to lead Harbor (1-0) in a nonconference win. Arianna Javier went 3 for 5 with three RBIs. Stacy Lepe was 4 for 4 with an RBI.

JC men’s basketball

LONG BEACH 83, EL CAMINO 62 >> Isiah Armstead had 15 points off the bench to lead El Camino (4-16, 1-2) in a South Coast Conference loss. Da’Koda Lacey and Dreymon Jones each added 13.

JC women’s basketball

LONG BEACH 61, EL CAMINO 44 >> Tyler Quinn had 14 points and Kyla Jolly added 12 for El Camino (11-11, 2-1) in a South Coast Conference loss.
