Desus and Mero recently announced their departure from VICELAND after a two-year stint, as the famous podcasters have now inked a new deal with Showtime to front a weekly late-night talk show. The new half-hour series will launch in 2019, and is the network's introductory foray into late-night television.
The show will be executive produced by the pair, and will feature guests from the realms of pop culture, sports, music and politics.
Desus and Mero hosted a nightly series for Vice Media since October 2016. The two hosts, who both grew up in the Bronx, were friends before achieving widespread notoriety. The two eventually established a podcast titled The Bodega Boys in 2013, as well as a web-series named after them. Desus and Mero will continue to host their beloved podcast in tandem with their new gig at Showtime.
