Blue Water Grill – “Pasta, Lobster And Suds”

I had not tried Blue Water Grill yet, so I took my granddaughter Natalie with me. Right away, I noticed a revolving door and I reached for the door next to it but it had a sign that said, “Please use revolving door,” - shucks. At least my sweet Natalie wasn’t as mischievous as her father and she didn’t try to trap me!

The restaurant had a bar in the center and small booth tables in the surrounding area - at least in the front part. We were there at lunch time and I think a more formal dining area was toward the back.

A sweet boy named Josh waited on us; he looked like he should have still been in school. The young adults just keep looking younger and younger, but maybe it’s just that I am getting older and older.

I ordered Pasta Primavera with fresh mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, artichokes and feta cheese, tossed with Linguine in a sun-dried tomato pesto sauce for $13.95.

Natalie wanted the Lobster Rolls for $11.95 with lobster salad mixture stuffed into a type of bread-roll, (she had already taken a bite, so we only got to take a picture of three of them, but they came with four).

We had bread to nibble on while we waited and then our meals arrived. Mine looked so good! The first bite was incredible! The flavors were so beautiful together. I didn’t even mind the greasy taste of the spinach (but after the third bite, the grease started to get to me).

I don’t like anything ‘wilted’ really but, if you do, you will love this entire dish. Aside from the grease on the spinach, I loved the whole meal.

Afterward, Natalie wanted to get a dessert to split, but I was full from all the linguini. She ordered a key lime pie.

When Josh brought it to the table I decided I had room for one more bite! I had to have a taste. It was really good and I am not fond of key lime pie, but they even had a topping that you could tell was made from real whipping cream. The pie part was so smooth, I really liked the texture and it wasn’t too tart.

Our meals and the service was so delightful, I knew it would be a place I would visit again. I bet their dinner menu is even better.

While we waited for Josh to bring the check, I looked over at the bar and the same group of men were all around the bar as when we walked in. They weren’t eating a meal, they were sipping the suds.

I don’t understand people hanging around just drinking in the middle of the day. I wanted to holler over at them as we were leaving, “Shouldn’t you be at work?”

But my granddaughter would never have gone out with me again (and I am not really an old bitty). I realize the times have changed and people work all kinds of hours – who was I to judge? I just told Natalie she wasn’t allowed to date any of them.

Visit Blue Water Grill, you’ll be glad you did - whether it is for dinner, lunch or just drinking the suds.
