Handyman Sexually Assaulted Child In Demarest Home: Cops
Alejandro Velasquez was arrested Monday, authorities said.
DEMAREST, NJ – A 44-year-old Morristown handyman faces charges after authorities say he sexually assaulted a child while working in a home in Demarest.
Alejandro Velasquez was arrested Monday following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Demarest Police Department and charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child, County Prosecutor Mark Musella said in a press release.
The alleged assault of the child, whom authorities said was under the age of 13, was reported to Demarest police earlier that day, Musella said.

Velasquez was transported to Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance, authorities said.
