24-year-old man killed in Irvington shooting

A 24-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Saturday morning in Irvington, according to authorities.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, Irvington police responded to reports of a shooting on Arverne Terrace, according to a news release from the Essex County Prosecutors Office. Police found Alexandar F. Saye, of Irvington, suffering from gunshot wounds. Saye was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:56 a.m.

No arrests have been made so far and the investigation is ongoing, authorities say.
