MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Crews spent over two hours battling a structure fire in Valhermoso Springs in Morgan County.

Emergency responders were called to a home on the 2100 block of Talucah Road just after 6 p.m.

Firefighters were forced to shuttle water to the scene due to a lack of nearby hydrants.

Crews from volunteer fire departments were called to assist. Utility workers cut power to the structure.

The chief of the Talucah Volunteer Fire Department said the home had been unoccupied at the time of the fire. Family members of the former owner live on a property just behind the home that burned.

No injuries were reported. A cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
