Deputies: Woman arrested after having baby in church parking lot

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office arrested a Valhermoso Springs woman for chemical endangerment of a child.

According to the sheriff's office, DHR reported to the office that Sabrina Renee Philips Cryer had her child in a church parking lot.

Both Cryer and the child were taken to an area hospital.

Investigators were able to get evidence that controlled substances were used during the pregnancy. At that time, a warrant was obtained for Cryer's arrest.

She was later located and transported to the Morgan County Jail with a $2,500 bond.
