Seminole County leaders release details on 2021 municipal elections
On November 2, 2021, the cities of Oviedo and Lake Mary will be holding municipal elections.Only voters registered within Oviedo and Lake Mary city limits are eligible to vote in this election, officials said.The City of Oviedo will be voting for the office of Mayor and City Councilmember Group 1 along with four city amendments.In Lake Mary, Commissioner Seat 4 is on the ballot.Early voting will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters from both Oviedo and Lake Mary will be able to cast a ballot at the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office, officials said.Oviedo City Hall will be open for Oviedo voters only. Oviedo will have three polling locations open on Election Day: City Hall, Riverside Park, and the Live Oak Community Building.The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters can find their polling precinct at www.VoteSeminole.org.Lake Mary will have one polling location open, Lake Mary City Hall. City Hall will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.The deadline to register in order to participate in the municipal election is Monday, October 4, 2021. The last day to request a Vote-By-Mail ballot to be mailed will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 5 p.m.All Vote-By-Mail ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted, according to election officials.Unofficial election results will be posted online at www.VoteSeminole.org beginning at 7 p.m. on November 2, 2021. Results will remain unofficial until the Canvassing Board has certified the election.
