What Dickson County roads will be paved in next year?

Dickson County officials are planning to pave about 41 miles of county roads in the next year if the county commission approves the over $2.5 million expenditure next month.
"The thing we anticipated before closing the budget out last year was that we would have some extra funds in debt service to take care of some immediate needs,” said County Mayor Bob Rial to the commissioners. "One of the immediate needs that we have all discussed I think with most all of y'all individually is about paving roads and trying to get the road paving caught up in the county."
The highway department had budgeted $1 million for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, and the remainder could ultimately be paid for with the extra funds.
Rial said the list was largely compiled by Road Superintendent Jerry Burgess. The mayor said most roads on the list are on the northern and western side of the county, which is where many of the county-operated roads are located.
“The cities all take care of (their own roads),” Rial said.
The county will look into bidding the work out for the longer roads, Rial said, adding “so we can get it done fast."
The commission approved the road list on first vote at its Nov. 2 work session. The next vote is scheduled for the Dec. 14 regular meeting.
Rial noted that it was a “working list” of recommended roads for paving and commissioners could provide input.
