An Oklahoma police chief was served an extra hot cup of criticism in the form of a scathing, public rebuke by his own daughter.
Lauren O’Mara, who uses the Twitter handle @MissOMara, took to the social media site Saturday to roast her father, Kiefer Police Chief Johnny O’Mara, following a recent scandal at their local Starbucks.

The coffee giant was back news this week after an employee at its Glenpool store printed the word “PIG” on the orders of a Kiefer PD officer. According to Tulsa station News On 6, the officer went to the coffee house to purchase drinks as a thank you to the emergency dispatchers who’d worked over the Thanksgiving holiday in the Tulsa suburb.
The incident caused immediate backlash, and the barista was ultimately fired. The younger O’Mara argued the employee wasn’t totally wrong, however, and used the opportunity to blast her father instead.
“This is my father and i’d like to say that he is absolutely a pig,” she wrote in response to a report on the scandal,” adding: “and i’d like to thank the brave men and women from starbucks for their service.”

In a separate tweet, O’Mara wrote: “For the record, my father has 0 business being a police officer. He was blatantly, and proudly racist when i was a kid. Said things i would never repeat. he treats women like dogs — including his own daughter. oink oink.”
The young woman’s rebuke came just days after Johnny O’Mara uploaded a photo of one of the “PIG” cups on Facebook, detailing the now-viral incident. He contacted Starbucks, and spoke with a manager after one of his officers noticed what was scrawled on their drinks.
“What irks me is the absolute [and] total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town,” he wrote in the now-deleted post.
The police chief said a manager tried to remedy the situation and offered to reprint the labels before O’Mara went public about the incident, KTUL reported. The employee also apologized and said the label was meant as a “joke” — which the top cop didn’t find very funny.
In his post, O’Mara further argued the word “pig” is “another tiny symptom and a nearly indiscernible shout from a contemptuous, roaring and riotous segment of a misanthropic society that vilifies those who stand for what is right [and] glorifies the very people who would usher in the destruction of the social fabric.”
Despite the worker’s apology, Starbucks moved to fire the employee anyway.
“The Starbucks partner who wrote this offensive word on a cup used poor judgement and is no longer a partner after this violation of company policy,” the coffee house said in a statement.“This language is offensive to all law enforcement and is not representative of the deep appreciation we have for police officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
In a separate joint statement, Starbucks said it would work with the Kiefer police department to promote unity and civility in the community.
