A Monday night miracle: $10 pizzas and half-price wine at Sassetta in Dallas

Sassetta's blistered, bubble-crusted, wood-fired pizzas are some of the best in town, and on Monday nights, they're also one of the best deals.

Every pie on the menu — from the Taleggio-burnt honey best seller to the clam-garlic-lemon-chili beauty — is $10. And wines by the glass — from a list by ex-Macellaio sommelier Don Myers — are half price. We're talking 2017 Prodigo Sauvignon Blanc from Fruili for $4.50, or if you're feeling flush, 2014 Vietti Perbaco Nebbiolo from Piedmont for a whole $9.

The chic dining room is filled, every marble-topped table holds a pizza on a pedestal, and everyone is in a good mood. It's a pizza party. It's a miracle. Sassetta has rescued dining's worst night of the week.
