UPDATE: Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a maroon Subaru, possibly an Outback or Forester, with front end damage which continued west from a crash Thursday morning on Interstate 78 West in Allentown, after which one person died.

INITIAL POST: A passenger in a vehicle involved in a crash Thursday morning on Interstate 78 West in Allentown has died, Pennsylvania State Police report.

The wreck happened at 10:16 a.m. near mile marker 58 and the right and center lanes were still shut as of 12:30 p.m. as the state police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit was working at the scene, Trooper Nathan Branosky said.

Details of the crash -- such as how many vehicles were involved -- were not immediately available, Branosky said. It wasn’t clear if there were other injuries.

Ramp and other closures in the area are related to the wreck, Branosky said.
