Small rescue dog becomes newest Ohio police recruit
An Ohio police department is welcoming a tiny new recruit to the force.The Marblehead Police Department welcomed Zorro, an adopted Chihuahua who was taken in by Chief Joy to help "reduce the influx of adoptable pets due to Hurricane Florence."The department said Zorro is being trained to be a certified therapy K-9 for those who are in retirement homes, assisted living and anyone else who needs to be cheered up. Zorro will also be accompanying Joy on patrols, police said."All funding, training, or any additional costs will be provided by Chief Joy as a thank you for everyone’s continued support for our Police Department," the department said in a statement on Facebook.
