TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa skyline is changing, thanks to the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine.

Here’s what you need to know about the school’s expansion:

1. The new state-of-the-art facility on Water Street is set to attract the brightest students, residents, and researchers.

2. The almost 400,000 square foot, 13-story-high facility is home to a medical school, research facility and heart institute.

3. The facility will focus on active learning versus lecturing.

4. The new facility is located in downtown Tampa to be closer to teaching hospital Tampa General Hospital.

5. Class start January 13, 2020.
