Festival of Trees and Lights goes virtual to raise money for Norton Children's Hospital
One of Louisville's brightest holiday events is happening virtually this year.
The Festival of Trees and Lights benefits Norton Children's Hospital.
For the first time ever, you can view, bid and buy the decorated trees, wreaths and home decorations completely online. The virtual event features designer tutorials, kids crafts and Hanukkah activities led by the Jewish Community of Louisville.
You can have a chance to win a new BMW and new home in Norton Commons by purchasing a raffle ticket. To learn more, click here.
Organizers hope people will embrace the virtual experience to raise money for a good cause.
"Christmas jammies, ugly Christmas sweaters, curl up with your family, get out your hot chocolate and look at it together," said Amanda Current, with Norton Children's Hospital Foundation. "We've got a few of our festival favorites streaming throughout the weekend. There will be fun to be had. You'll be very much in the Christmas spirit."
Organizers are offering a new contactless pickup option at Louisville Slugger Field for all items purchased.
This is the 31st annual Festival of Trees and Lights. The event has raised more than $10 million for Norton Children's Hospital.
The event is from Friday to Sunday.
