ASHLEY: BREEZY CONDITIONS, SNOW AROUND THE AREA, DEFINITELY IN JANUARY MORNING. YOU CAN SEE THE WIND GUSTING, IT REALLY PICKING UP ALREADY NEAR 25-35 MILES PER HOUR. THIS IS GOING TO BE THE TREND THROUGH THE DAY TODAY, KNOCKING THE WIND CHILLS DOWN. FEELS LIKE 22 DEGREES IN PITTSBURGH, 19 DEGREES IS YOUR REAL FEEL IN BEAVER, 19 IN BUTLER, 26 IN GREENSBERG, 25 IN INDIANA, 24 UNIONTOWN. FEELS LIKE 15 THIS MORNING IN FRANKLIN. WINDS OF THE GUSTING NEAR 30 MILES PER HOUR, SLOWLY DYING DOWN INTO THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. WE DO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THEM AT LEAST THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. WE HAVE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH. AS WE LOOK AT SATELLITE AND RADAR, SNOW BANDS ARE IMPACTING PARTS OF THE VIEWING AREA. IT COULD REALLY DROP YOUR VISIBILITY AND PUT A QUICK PUTTING ON THE ROADWAYS, SO BE AWARE. SLICK SPOTS IN BUTLER, STRETCHING INTO ARMSTRONG, SOUTH OF KITTANNING. THERE IS ALSO A LINE STARTING TO PUSH SOUTHWARD, COMING OFF OF INTESTATE 80 NEAR HARRISVILLE, NEAR SLIPPERY ROCK AND NORTHERN BUTLER, RIGHT INTO CLARION COUNTY. SOUTHERN PARTS OF LAWRENCE COUNTY WITH A FE SHOWERS. THE SNOW STARTING TO EXIT OUT OF WEST MORELAND AND TAKING OVER SOMERSET AMONG I 70. VERY HIT OR MISS. THE BANDS COULD DROP HIS ABILITY. NOT A LOT OF ACCUMULATION, BUT OVERALL, WE COULD SEE SNOW SHOWERS LINGERING THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON. NORTHERN PARTS OF ALLEGHENY, ARMSTRONG INDIANA, 10:00, YOU WILL SEE THE BANDS PASSING. THEY WILL START TO BREAK UP AROUND LUNCHTIME. TEMPERATURES WILL BE DIPPI DOWN TO THE UPPER 20’S AND LOW 30’S. WAS A GUSTY WINDS, IT WILL FEEL LIKE WE ARE IN THE UPPER TEENS TO LOW 20’S FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. IN THE EVENING, SNOW SHOWERS WILL COME TO AN END. WE ARE EXPECTING SUNSHINE TODAY BUT NOT A LOT OF SNOW EXPECTED. YOU COULD SEE UP TO ONE INCH IN LAWRENCE AND BUTLER, EVEN INTO VENANGO, ARMSTRONG AND INDIANA. JUST A LIGHT DUSTING EXPECTED IN PITTSBURGH, WESTMORELAND, AND SOMERSET COULD SEE A LITTLE MORE SNOW AS WELL. FOR THE DAY TODAY, NOTICE THE TEMPERATURES DROPPING, WINDS GUSTING NEAR 30 MILES PER HOUR. IT WILL FEEL LIKE WE’RE IN THE UPPER TEENS TO LO 20’S. * At 1045 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Sarver to near Seven Fields to near Beaver, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts up to 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 24 and 58.

Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 65, and between mile markers 67 and 82.

Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 36 and 43, and between mile markers 70 and 84.
