Cops have identified a man they say robbed two Harlem women at knifepoint from DNA evidence he left behind and are asking the public’s help tracking him down.
Police on Friday released a pair of mugshots of ex-con Shaquan Jordan, 45, who has tattoos of tears below both his eyes.
Cops say that he tailed a 29-year-old woman back to her apartment building on W. 129th St. at about 6:50 p.m. on Oct. 1.
When they got to the third floor, he allegedly flashed a knife, demanded her belongings and snatched her iPhone, $25 and New York State ID.
Police say he followed a 30-year-old woman to the fourth floor of her home on W. 133 St. about 8:25 p.m. the next day. He pulled a knife, grabbed her by the neck and demanded her belongings, cops said.
The victim resisted but he still managed to make off with the victim’s iPhone and handbag, according to police.
Investigators discovered Jordan’s DNA in the stairwell of one victim’s building and used the evidence to help identify the ex-con, sources said.
He has served time for sexual abuse and grand larceny, authorities said.
Jordan also goes by the alias Nardo Hodnett, police said.
He is described as black, 5-foot-5, 155 pounds and bald with brown eyes.
