The Wicomico High School boys basketball team has advanced to the 2A State Championship for the first time since 2013, defeating Oakdale, 57-51, Friday.

The Tribe was led by senior Dorian Stevens, who knocked down 26 points — 18 of which came from beyond the arc.

Forward Matt Lowe, the Bayside South Defensive Player of the Year, tallied six blocks and six rebounds in the contest, while senior Keyshawn Marshall finished second in scoring with 10 points.

Wi-Hi's Dorian Stevens celebrates after connecting on a 3-point shot to get the lead back against Oakdale during the MPSSAA semifinals at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md.

Oakdale's Collin Schlee led the way for the Bears with 21 points and 16 rebounds. The team as a whole shot 29 percent from the field.

Wi-Hi now shifts its focus to Patterson, which the Tribe will play Saturday at 6 p.m. at the University of Maryland College Park. Wi-Hi will be looking to win the program's second championship and first since 2002.
