NSB library book sale

The Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library’s quarterly book sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, in the library auditorium. An early sale for Friends members is slated for Wednesday, March 20, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join for $10.

Charming Home Tour

The New Smyrna Beach Residents’ Coalition will host a tour of home/business conversions in mid-20th century structures, along with three homes near the river, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the historic district. Park in the United Church of Christ or NSB First Family Baptist church parking lots at the corner of Washington and Faulkner streets. Tickets are $20 and available at ournsb.org, Conrad Consulting, NSB Florist, Renewals Book Store, Southern Trends or Anchor Inn BNB.

Actress to portray historic Florida women

Historical dramatist Dianne Jacoby will portray two historically significant Florida women during a one-woman play at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle. The fourth-generation Floridian will play Dona Maria de Menendez, the illegitimate daughter of St. Augustine’s founder, and Mary Lily Kenan, wife of Henry Flagler. Free singing lessons at Little Theatre

The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach, 720 E. Third Ave., will host Music 101, free group singing lessons, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays from March 21 through April 18. Interested participants can register online at nsbplayers.org or in person at the lessons.

Vietnam veterans monthly meeting

Vietnam Veterans of America Daytona Beach Chapter 1048 will host its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at 5810 S. Williamson Blvd., Port Orange. Social hour starts at 5 p.m. New members are welcome; bring your DD214.

Art Among the Trees Juried Art, Craft and Music Festival is taking applications for exhibitors. The seventh annual event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, on the grounds of the Porter House, 5030 Highway 17 N., DeLeon Springs. Open gym in Ormond Beach

Open gym will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 22 and 29, at the Ormond Beach Gymnastics Center, 432 N. Nova Road. The event is open to all levels for anyone between the ages of 8 to 21. Coaches will be on the floor at all times and light spotting will be provided. Admission is $5 per participant. Register at the Leisure Services Registration Office, 399 N. Storytellers to share Irish tales

Wayne and Jane Sims will tell some merry Irish tales at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.
