• Sherri Shepherd revealed her 30-pound weight loss in a shoot for Swimsuits For All.
  • According to Sherri, being photographed in swimwear was "a particularly scary move."
  • Sherri, 51, has been following a sugar-free keto diet for more than 300 days.

Sherri Shepherd committed to the keto diet and a sugar-free lifestyle back in March. And now, she has the weight loss results to show for it—30 pounds, to be exact.

The former View cohost shared a few shots from a recent swimwear photo shoot for a campaign with Ashley Graham for Swimsuits For All, a swimsuit line for sizes four to 26.

Sherri, 51, looks like she's having a blast, but this shoot wasn't an easy decision. "This was a particularly scary move for me bc I artfully disguise everything on my body I don’t want seen," Sherri wrote. "But I said yes to being in a swimsuit bc I wanted to encourage you to run towards the very things you #fear bc there are amazing #blessings on the other side."

According to Sherri, who first set out to lose weight and get healthy for her son, the swimwear shoot was totally unexpected. "I never thought when I made the commitment to my son Jeffrey to get my health together and get off #sugar that an opportunity posing for @swimsuitsfor all would happen." she wrote. "This #photoshoot was truly a dream come true and to you ladies over 40...please remember nothing is impossible if you focus and commit to the work."

Sherri also thanked Ashley and the other models in the shoot—including Emme and Tara Lynn—for making her feel "so comfortable" and for "loving [their] God-given curves."

Sherri began posting photos of her progress on the keto diet in December—and as of right now, she's been sugar-free for 318 days, according to a recent Instagram post.

Sherri's sugar-free, keto diet also helped her regulate her type 2 diabetes, she said previously. (Sherri was diagnosed in 2007, but she says her blood sugar levels are now "down to a pre-diabetic state.")

Sherri also credits the keto diet with giving her more energy, and reducing her headaches, eczema, and under-eye circles. And while her health is a tad more important than fitting into a swimsuit, Sherri definitely rocked that one-piece black cutout.
