OCEAN CITY, NJ — There's a lot of news to keep up with right now — locally, nationally and worldwide. Here's a recap of coronavirus updates in Ocean City and Cape May County.
Cases
The Cape May County Health Department has reported nine active coronavirus cases, 47 people cleared off quarantine and three deaths in Ocean City as of Wednesday morning. There are also six active cases among nonresidents associated with Ocean City.

The CMCHD has logged 160 active cases, 723 people cleared off quarantine and 81 deaths as of Wednesday morning. That includes 30 active cases, 141 cleared off quarantine and 55 deaths among longterm-care facilities.
Testing

- A drive-thru coronavirus testing site will operate Thursday in Cape May Court House. Future dates have not been determined. MORE.
- Testing locations for COVID-19 also include Cape Regional Urgent Care centers, CVS in Upper Township, Rite-Aid in Wildwood and AtlantiCare Health Systems.
- Shore Medical Center offers tests to determine whether patients have antibodies to the coronavirus. All asymptomatic individuals are eligible for the blood test. MORE.

Recent Updates
- Shore Medical Center received nothing in the first round of federal funding for hospitals facing financial difficulties associated with the coronavirus. But the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) included Shore in its second round, giving the hospital $9.2 million. MORE.
- An employee at ShopRite in Marmora tested positive for the coronavirus, the store announced July 22. The grocery store has kept him or her away from the workplace and has notified colleagues who may have been in close contact with the associate. MORE.
