No Round Rock Household Hazardous Waste Collection In January

The recurring event scheduled the first Wednesday of each month won't take place in January due to the New Year's Day holiday.

ROUND ROCK, TX — The city's recurring household hazardous waste collection event won't take place this month as it falls on New Year's Day.

Crews pick up such items for safe disposal each month from 3 pm. to 6 p.m. The monthly event enables residents to safely dispose of residential paint and other household chemicals. The monthly Household Hazardous Waste Collection takes place at the Recycling Center, 310 Deepwood Dr., on the first Wednesday of each month.

So keep the hazardous waste at the ready for Feb. 5, the next date for the collection. Here are additional details:

  • The event is free for City of Round Rock water utility customers. Please bring your driver’s license and city water bill as proof of residency.
  • Brushy Creek MUD and Fern Bluff MUD residents, please pick up a “Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Voucher” from your MUD office and bring it to the collection.
  • Non-residents: The cost to drop off materials is $40 per car, cash or check payments are accepted.

Organizers accept only residential waste in quantities of 25 gallons or less.
