Man arrested after meth lab discovered in shed

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies, Crossville officers and Drug Task Force agents arrested one man after they discovered a meth lab.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department received a call Monday morning from a resident reporting possible domestic violence on County Road 467 in Crossville. The deputies conducted a search inside home and discovered drugs aliong with drug paraphernalia.

Investigators also found the components of a meth lab in a shed located behind the home.

Phillip Pointer, 39, was charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting prison contraband.

Pointer was booked in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bond.

Pointer was arrested earlier this year for discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle or building and was out on bond.
