City man arraigned in Liberty teen sex case
WARREN — A 36-year-old Youngstown man on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to a host of felony charges alleging inappropriate sexual behavior with a teenage girl with special needs.
Reinaldo Camacho-Perez, 1109 Scioto St., was arraigned before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew D. Logan on charges of importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, abduction, two counts of gross sexual imposition, falsification and forging identification cards.
Investigators say Camacho-Perez, 36, is accused of having sexual contact with and taking nude pictures of a 15-year-old girl with special needs. The offenses happened between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 and were investigated by Liberty Township police, according to court records.
If found guilty of all the charges, Camacho-Perez is facing a maximum term of more than 20 years in prison.
Logan set bond for the defendant at $250,000 and scheduled another hearing for Dec. 15 in his court.
Trumbull County jail records show that Camacho-Perez was arrested on Sept. 28 and remains incarcerated. Attorney John Juhasz is representing the defendant.
A Trumbull County grand jury, which indicted Camacho-Perez on the eight charges on Thursday, did not indict him on additional charges of rape and importuning in the same Liberty police investigation.
