Catherine “Diane” Welch, 65, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Erlanger Medical Center. Diane was a Christian and loved butterflies; she always saw the best in everyone and was always putting others before herself. She loved cooking and cleaning and was prepared for any and everything. She was a retired RN with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Diane loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog, “Susie”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Welch; parents, Dorothy Kathleen and Pete Smith; aunts, Dean Smith, Loretta Ayers and Oveline Gifford; and uncles, Leon and Ed Smith.
Diane is survived by sons and daughter’s-in-law, Christopher (Jonna) Welch, of Cleveland, Brandon (Erica) Welch, of Murfreesboro; step-brother, Ricky Brewer, of Fort Worth, Tx; step-sister, Cathy Long, of Moore, Ok; aunt, Jeril Dean Smith, of Marion, Ar.; grandchildren, Morgan Lee Welch and Savannah Kirk Welch, both of Cleveland, Adia Marie Welch, Lachlan Isaiah Welch and Adelaide Elise Welch, all of Murfreesboro; and many cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity Cleveland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Thursday, Nov. 12. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
