BYRAM, Miss. (WJTV) – Greater Deliverance Church of God in Christ in Byram held a food giveaway Thursday morning.
1,500 food boxes were given out to community members from across the greater Jackson area.
The church partnered with their national missions team and World Vision for the food drive, and pastors from other churches are taking boxes by the dozen to give away in other areas.
“It’s such a blessing to have this baskets of fruits and produce and to be able to give to those who have needs. We have about four or five other churches that we distribute to, and it is truly a blessing that Greater Deliverance Church of God in Christ is powering this in our community. We just give God praise,” said Joel Ekuqwum, Pastor of Fountain of Life Church.
