Whether you want to be terrified in a haunted house or spend the day carving pumpkins with your family, Lake County has you covered. Here is a list of Halloween events happening around town.

Didier Farms Pumpkinfest: Open to Oct. 31. Hours: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. 16678 W. Aptakisic Road, Lincolnshire. 847-634-3291; www.didierfarms.com. Free admission; activities and rides have fees.

Goebbert’s Farm and Garden Center: Open to Oct. 31. Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. 40 W. Higgins Road, South Barrington. 847-428-6727; www.goebbertsgardencenter.com. Admission is $12.99 weekdays and $16.99 weekends; some activities cost extra.

All Seasons Apple Orchard: Open to Nov. 2. Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekends and Columbus Day. 14510 Illinois Route 176, Woodstock. 815-338-5637; www.allseasonsorchard.com. Combo tickets for barnyard and orchard are $16 weekdays, $21 weekends and holidays. Military personnel and seniors ages 65 and up receive a $3 discount with ID. Barnyard only is $10 weekdays, $15 weekends.

Richardson Adventure Farm: Open to Nov. 3. Hours: 3-10 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 12-10 p.m. Sundays. 909 English Prairie Road, Spring Grove. 815-675-9729; www.richardsonadventurefarm.com. Admission is $17-$19 for people ages 13 and up, $14-$16 ages 3-12 and those 2 and under are free. (Lower rates are on Wednesdays and Thursdays and in September.) Some activities cost extra.

Stade’s Farm and Market Shades of Autumn Fall Festival: Open to Oct. 27. Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to Oct. 27. 3709 W. Miller Road, McHenry. Call 815-675-6396 or go to www.stadesfarmandmarket.com. Admission is $15 for ages 3-64; $10 for 65 and older. Children age 2 and under free. Pumpkins cost $7.

Kroll’s Fall Harvest Farm: Open to Nov. 1. Hours: 12-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 12-10 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays. At 13236 W. Town Line Road, Waukegan. Check in for the maze at least one hour before closing. 847-662-5733 www.krollsfarm.com. Hayrides are $4 per person; kids 2 and under free. Cash only. Pumpkins cost $2-$15. Corn maze admission is $7 ages for 13 and older; $5 for ages 12 and under; free for ages 3 and under.

Six Flags Fright Fest: Open to Nov. 3. Hours are 5-11 p.m. Oct. 18, 25 and Nov. 1; 11 a.m.-midnight Oct. 19, and 26; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27; 6-11 p.m. Oct. 31; 12-10 p.m. Nov. 2; and 12-9 p.m. Nov. 3. 1 Great America Parkway, Gurnee. 847-249-4636; sixflags.com/greatamerica/special-events/fright-fest-night. Halloween at the Foglia Y: 6-8:30 p.m. Oct. 18. Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road, Lake Zurich. 847-438-5300; www.ymcachicago.org/foglia. Admission is $10-$15 for kids; $5 adults.

Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanterns: 6:30-10:30 p.m. Oct. 18-20 and 23-27. Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road. 847-835-5440; www.chicagobotanic.org/halloween. Admission is $16-$18, plus parking, which is $25 on weekdays, $30 on weekends. This event has timed tickets; the latest ticket sold is 9:30 p.m. and last entry is at 10 p.m.

Dungeon of Doom: Open to Nov. 9. Hours are 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 18, 25-26, Nov. 1-2; 6 p.m.-midnight Oct. 19; 7-10 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27; 7:30-11 p.m. Nov. 8-9 (blackout event). 600 29th St., Zion. Realm of Terror Haunted House: Open to Nov. 2. Hours are 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 18-19, 25-26; and 7-10 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27 and Nov. 1-2. 421 W. Rollins Road, Round Lake Beach. 847-973-6053; realmofterror.com. Tickets are $25 general admission, $35 for skip-the-line and $45 for VIP.

McHenry Area Jaycees Haunted House: Open to Nov. 2. Hours are 7:30-10:30 p.m. Oct. 18-19, 25-26 and 31, and Nov. 1-2; 7:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27. McHenry Commons Shopping Center, 2034 N.
