Darling in the Franxx is a fun anime with tons of action that many anime fans have become aware of this year. Whether they just know of the show's fun protagonist, Zero Two, or they've taken the time to watch the whole show, most anime fans are divided over the series. This is because many fans feel that Darling in the Franxx went off the rails during the later episodes when aliens appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

The plot also introduced a magical space mecha, which was the embodiment of Zero Two but made little sense when looking at the rest of the story. Luckily, it's not the only anime around that is set in a post-apocalyptic future, and many would say it isn't even in the genre's top ten.
