Michael Eugene Bumbalough

White House – Michael Eugene Bumbalough, 75, of White House, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Born March 21, 1946, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James E. Bumbalough and Phyllis Marie Pendergrass Bumbalough.

Mike was a member of the 1964 graduating class of Madison High School. He played center on the Madison H.S. football team. His faith was very important to him, he graduated from the Nashville School of Preaching and ministered at New Spring Creek Church in Bon Aqua for 10 years. He was a longtime member of Jackson Park Church of Christ and most recently was a member of Birdwell's Chapel Church of Christ in Cottontown. Mike and his wife, Debbie, participated in numerous overseas missionary trips spreading God's Word.

He served his country proudly during Vietnam in the United States Air Force. Mike was also an avid sports fan and the family finds comfort in knowing Mike got to see his beloved Atlanta Braves win the 2021 World Series before he passed. He was also a dedicated Alabama football fan, 'Roll Tide'.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother David Alan Bumbalough.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deborah Bumbalough; son Matt (Gena) Bumbalough; daughters Julie (Kenyatta) Perry and Megan (Chris) Wiseman; sister Susan Creed; grandchildren Bryce (Taylor) Bumbalough, Dawson Bumbalough, Emilie Bumbalough, Seth Bumbalough, Kylie Perry, Kayden Perry, Jacob Wiseman, Josh Wiseman, and Maddux Wiseman; great granddaughter Charlotte Wiseman.

Visitation will be Friday, December 3 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 4 at 11:30 AM with Tim Frizzell and Dale Sadler officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors on Saturday from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons along with brother-in-law David Rains and son-in-law Kenyatta Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Martin, Robert Nichols, Steve, Ed. Larry, and Don Pendergrass, Buddy Hayes, Danny Boyce and the Madison High School Class of 1964.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to Latin American Missions in Valdosta, Georgia or Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center.
