Meghan Markle has received an official page on the Kensington Palace website

The royal family has officially welcomed Meghan Markle into their circle with an official biography on the Buckingham Palace website.

A profile has appeared for Meghan, whose new title is the Duchess of Sussex, following yesterday’s royal wedding in Windsor.

On www.royal.uk, which is run by Buckingham Palace, Meghan is introduced in a brief run-through of her life, with the biography even mentioning her successful acting career.

"The Duchess of Sussex, born Meghan Markle, married Prince Harry at St George's Chapel, Windsor in May 2018. The couple's official residence is Kensington Palace. As well as undertaking royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the UK and overseas, The Duchess devotes her time to supporting a number of charities and organisations," it reads.

It continues: "From a young age, The Duchess had a keen awareness of social issues and actively participated in charitable work.

"These early experiences helped to shape her lifelong commitment to causes such as social justice and women's empowerment."

A secondary biography details Meghan’s education, stating that she attended the Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse from the ages of 2-11 and began her secondary education at Immaculate Heart High School in 1992. It adds that Meghan attended the Northwestern University in Illinois and graduated with a dual degree.

"After university Her Royal Highness worked as an actress, appearing in film and television. She most notably played the role of Rachel Zane on the series Suits for seven seasons, completing over 100 episodes," the biography reads.

"Whilst working on Suits, The Duchess moved to Toronto, Canada where the show was filmed; she feels very connected to Canada, as it became a second home to her."

Following Harry and Meghan’s nuptials yesterday at St George’s Chapel, Kensington Palace also updated its official Twitter account to include Meghan.

The image now shows Meghan sitting alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and her new husband Harry.

The photo was previously a snap of Kate, William and Harry from a Heads Together mental health event in 2016.
