Abby Nieporte had 29 kills and 26 digs, as the top-seeded Thunderwolves (2-3) edged past the fifth-seeded Crusaders in this District 11-3A semifinal.
King’s Academy d. Benjamin 25-9, 25-11, 25-11
Kate Taylor had 20 service points and 13 digs, and Olivia Wanicka added 32 assists as the third-seeded Lions swept the seventh-seeded Buccaneers in this District 11-3A semifinal. Kelly Kinney contributed nine kills, and Lily Kinney added seven kills for King’s Academy, which will face Oxbridge Academy in Thursday’s district championship.
St. John Paul II Academy d. St. Andrew's in 25-22, 16-25, 22-25, 26-24, 15-10
Isa Raciunas notched 19 kills, nine digs and three aces. Kara Silk had 17 kills, and Shea Salvato chipped in seven kills, two aces and five digs as the Eagles edged the Scots.
Alexis Tirado added 28 assists, Bella Nelson had 25 assists and Sofia Blair had 26 digs. St. John Paul will face Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian in the Class 3A-District 12 final 7 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Christian.
