Scotts Valley Police said it noted the car had fraudulent registration and driver Eric Modeno had a suspended license and outstanding warrant. Modeno was arrested and police began speaking to his passenger, who gave several variations of fake names, police said.

He appeared to be in distress. He allowed police to search him and officers found 10 grams of meth, police said. The man was surprised and thought he swallowed all of his drugs before speaking with police, they said.
