Bahrain set for GCC power conference

MANAMA, November 8, 2014

More than 350 high-level industry leaders are in Bahrain to take part in the “GCC Power 2014” conference which opens tomorrow (November 10).

Bahrain Minister for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr Abdul-Hussain Bin Ali Mirza will patronise the opening ceremony of the event which runs till November 12 at Gulf Hotel.

The event is being organized by the GCC Regional Committee for Electric Systems (GCC CIGRE).

The conference is aimed at giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in the electricity and energy industry, in addition to encouraging collaboration between international commissions, enhancing scientific research efforts among GCC power authorities.

GCC Power 2014 has chosen 60 scientific papers to be discussed during the three-day event, taking into consideration variation and focusing on vital subjects that tackles the power sector ongoing and future matters in the gulf region, and how to sustain the growth of this significant sector through coming up with fruitful recommendations, the organisers stated.
 
Attendees will have the chance to witness the 19th exhibition for electrical equipment which will be held during the three-day GCC Power 2014, gathering more than 45 exhibitors, showcasing the latest technologies and power solutions around the globe.-TradeArabia News Service
