WEATHER: Thunderstorms, high temp in mid-40s, heavy winds expected Tuesday

Temperatures will drop to more normal levels on Wednesday

Thunderstorms, warm temperatures and heavy winds are in Holland’s forecast for Tuesday.

On Feb. 2, temperatures will rise to around 44 degrees and stay there overnight. There is 100 percent chance of precipitation, starting as a mix of snow and rain before becoming just rain as the day warms up. An east wind will increase to 19-29 mph. Gust could near 40 mph. Fog may roll in Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, temperatures will drop to around 35 degrees by mid-afternoon, further falling to near 26 degrees overnight. There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation — first as a mix of rain and snow, before becoming just snow as the day cools down. Less than an inch of snow is expected Wednesday night. Another breezy day, a south-southwest wind will blow around 23-28 mph.

Looking at the week ahead, the forecast expects temperatures to fluctuate between the mid-20s to mid-30s. Each day through Saturday has a chance for snow.
