The man, who has not been identified by police, was struck in the middle of the block on East Mississippi Avenue near South Salem Street when he was hit by a tan SUV that sped away, according to an Aurora Police Department news release. As the man lay in the street, a second vehicle, possibly identified as a red or burgundy truck, hit him. That driver also kept going, police said.

The man died at a hospital.
