Is there a better trio than Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, and Margot Robbie? I’ll wait. Today, the first teaser trailer for Bombshell was released, and in it, the three A-list actresses are completely transformed into Fox News–ready pundits.
Directed by Jay Roach, the film, set to hit theaters in December, will offer a “revealing look inside the most powerful and controversial media empire of all time, Fox News, and the explosive story of the women who brought down the infamous man who created it.”
In the film, John Lithgow plays Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, who was ousted from the network following sexual harassment allegations from prominent women he worked with, including Megan Kelly (played by Theron) and Gretchen Carlson (played by Kidman). Robbie, meanwhile, will star as a fictional producer for the network, while Allison Janney, Alice Eve, Connie Britton, and Kate McKinnon also co-star in the project.
While the first official teaser gives little away, the one-minute clip of Kidman, Theron, and Robbie intensely staring at each other in an elevator is worth an Oscar alone. As is the costume, hair, and makeup work. Below, watch the full clip.
