125th Anniversary of Sitting Bull Death
Sitting Bull was killed December 15, 1890 at his camp on the Grand River. The site is south of the present day town of Bullhead, South Dakota. These are photographs and drawings of Sitting Bull taken during his life.

In this photograph taken in 2005, Robert Gipp, standing, holds an eagle staff while looking over the Grand River near the site where Sitting Bull was killed on the morning of 1890. In back a group of Big Foot riders depart on horseback on the two week journey to Wounded Knee. Tuesday was the 125th anniversary of the death of Sitting Bull.
