SAN RAMON, CA — It's been a remarkable journey for a group of young local golfers. The San Ramon All-Stars were one of just 12 teams that advanced to the PGA Jr. League Championship held Oct. 11-14 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Representing California, San Ramon claimed third-place at the coveted event, just behind Team Georgia, which earned the championship crown, and Team Texas.

“The third place match was a great one,” Team California Captain Jim Collins told PGA of America after his squad bested Team Minnesota, 8 ½ - 3 ½. "Our putters went cold today versus Georgia. We just couldn’t convert this morning. Still, Team California is very happy with our third-place finish. Kudos to Georgia on winning it all and winning the 2019 PGA Jr. League Championship.”
