Kim kills Graham in Emmerdale

You don’t even have to be an Emmerdale fan to know that crossing the mighty and dangerous Kim Tate (Claire King) is a very bad idea indeed. In the past, we have seen her haunt her ex Frank to death, try to kill her brother-in-law Chris and order a hit on nephew Joe – all without breaking a sweat.

One person who knows what she is capable of is Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) – a man she has shared a long and complicated relationship with. She trusted Graham with everything while she was in prison – including keeping Joe in line financially and casting an eye over Jamie (Alexander Lincoln).

Their twisted bond saw Kim in charge for the most part, but both developed feelings of love and lust – and when that comes to the fore again, Graham, uses it to humiliate Kim and put her in her place to prove she no longer has any power over him.

But considering that Graham, as the hitman she hired in the hope of killing Joe, knows she is capable of murder, this may not have been a wise move.

Graham is planning to flee to France for a new life with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and Leo and this is something that has bothered Kim immensely, even though she got Rhona the job.

Still harbouring feelings for Graham, Kim is uncomfortable at the thought of losing him for good and lays her heart on the line. She is given hope when Graham implies that there is a chance for them – but actually, he is buying time as he secretly siphons money from her accounts.

When he then rejects her, Kim is humiliated and discovering her money has been stolen is the final straw – she will not let Graham get away with it. She calls upon Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) and makes it clear that she wants Graham dead – today.

As Al is set on his mission, Kim is certain that this is the end for Graham – and it is as he is later killed. But given that he has many other enemies, will someone else get there first?

One to watch: Monday 20th January at 7pm on ITV.
