Petros, Tn., racer Jake Teague, 24, picked up the lion's share of the United Crate Racing Alliance 2015 Points Championship Saturday at a luncheon for the Top -15 racers that follow the touring series in its inaugural season.

Despite not visiting victory lane, the driver of the #117 "C&C Trucking, Wades Construction" Longhorn racecar, corralled five runner-up finishes,  three third-place finishes, a single fifth place finish and two other Top-10 finishes to secure the $5,000 payday.

Out of the 11 races scheduled, the UCRA series averaged 37 race teams at all events in 2015 with 17 following every event.

Several new race tracks are coming on-board with the UCRA in 2016 as the rules and the schedule are being worked out by series co-founders Marvin Ford and David Earl Gentry.

The www.UCRAracing.com website and its Facebook page will have updated information for 2016 in the next few days.
