Bicyclist, 15, struck and killed near Newaygo

NEWAYGO, MI -- A 15-year-old bicyclist died in a collision with a vehicle on M-82 west of Newaygo.

The crash happened about 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at M-82 and Bingham Avenue, in Garfield Township.

Newaygo County sheriff’s deputies said the vehicle was going east on M-82 when the collision happened. Police did not immediately provide other details about the crash.

The teen is a girl from Newaygo, police said.
