If we don't get a bunch of collabs out of this, I'm going to be bummed.

UPDATE 1:00 p.m. ET: The original Billboard article announcing the new shows has been removed. Furthermore, a Gambino rep hit up Vibe to refute the reported batch of new Tyler-assisted dates. We've reached out for clarity and will update accordingly. Now, go cry.

See original story below.

Back in March, Childish Gambino made my year by announcing a month-long tour with Rae Sremmurd. The tour launches with a stop at the Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta in September, with an original wrap-up date of Sept. 30 in Vancouver. Now, because apparently sometimes we can have nice things, Gambino's tour will run a few dates longer with some help from Tyler, the Creator.

The new dates extend the tour through the middle of October, mere weeks before Gambino is set to head off to New Zealand for the latest incarnation of his PHAROS experience. The Tyler-featuring shows begin Oct. 2 in San Jose and wrap in Nashville Oct. 12. At the time of this writing, venue and ticket information had not been announced.

See the new dates below, viaBillboard:

  • 10/2  San Jose, CA
  • 10/3  Los Angeles, CA
  • 10/5  Phoenix, AZ
  • 10/9  Denver, CO
  • 10/12  Nashville, TN

Hopefully, Tyler has the same collaborative hopes for this tour as Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi. As you surely recall, the Sremmurd duo told Billboard last month that they wanted the tour to result in a "whole project" together. "I got a laptop with about 1,000 bangers, I know Childish Gambino got about 2,000 or 3,000, who knows?" Lee said. By Jxmmi's estimation, their vibes are quite complementary. "He's just a cool guy and we got the same type of vibe, so you can expect good music to come out of this," he added.

At the very least, I hope Tyler opens with this song every night:
