FARRELL – A Farrell man accused in a shooting last month outside a Farrell sports club faces a preliminary hearing Friday, while a second suspect remains at large.

Jonell Galen Goudy, 25, of 330 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and reckless endangerment in the case.

Dashawn Davi Richardson, 19, address unknown, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and reckless endangerment for allegedly shooting two men outside the club.

Farrell police have a warrant for Richardson’s arrest, and his preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.

Police responded at 2:39 a.m. June 27 to a call at the Farrell Sportsman’s Club, 816 Emerson Ave., for a report of three people shot, according to a police criminal complaint.

When officers arrived, a male victim, with nine gunshot wounds, was found near the entrance to the club, police said. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Police said the victim is on life support.

Two other victims, both women, went to UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley with gunshot wounds. They were taken to a trauma center at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Police said one of the victims has been released and the other remains in the hospital.

Police found near the entrance to the club a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and 12 9 mm shell casings.

Video surveillance shows patrons running out of the front door, and a man, later identified as Richardson, pointing a gun toward the entrance of the club. Police said the images show Richardson firing the gun at Goudy and instead hitting another man several times.

The video shows bullets striking car windows and doors, and police said one of the female victims can be seen holding her left arm, apparently after being hit by a bullet.

According to the criminal complaint, the altercation between Goudy and Richardson started inside, when the two men began fighting on the dance floor. The fight moved from one side of the room to the other, as people ran from the dance floor.

Police said the video showed Goudy leaving the club. Once outside, he produced a weapon and fired it several times.

Goudy was arraigned in front of District Judge Mary A. Odem. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday.
