Indiana COVID-19: 24,630 more now fully vaccinated over past 24 hours; 51,954 doses given

Indiana Friday reported 879 new COVID-19 cases and an additional 32 deaths. In the past 24 hours, 24,630 people have been reported to be fully vaccinated.

An additional 27,324 people received their first dose of the vaccine, meaning that just under 52,000 people were reported to have received a shot within the past 24 hours.

Here are some other statistics of note:

  • Since the start of the pandemic: 665,285 COVID-19 cases in Indiana and 12,263 deaths.
  • State positivity rate (seven-day rate as of Feb. 26): For all tests performed, 3.3%.
  • How many people in Indiana hospitals with COVID-19: 730.
  • How many initial doses of vaccine administered: 1,088,419. Of those, 27,324 reported in past 24 hours.
  • How many fully vaccinated Hoosiers: 657,741. Of those, 24,630 were reported in past 24 hours.
  • Cases in Marion and surrounding counties: Marion (117), Hamilton (51), Hendricks (22), Johnson (19), Morgan (12), Hancock (11), Boone (10), Shelby (5).
  • Fully vaccinated individuals: Marion County – 75,467; Hamilton -40,642; Hendricks – 18,707; Johnson – 15,662; Hancock – 9,862; Boone – 9,008; Morgan – 5,783; Shelby – 5,182.
